Posted on 10:46 by shohan bella

Today, the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), named the winners of both the Caldecott Medal—now in its 75th year—and the Newbery Medal. The images above are the respective winners.

Meaning v. Happiness

Posted on 04:52 by shohan bella

“Tax Break That Helps Private School Parents Is Made Permanent” by Ann Carrns in the NYTimes is a helpful article. It states in part:

“The Coverdell lets you deposit up to $2,000 each year in an investment account. The contributions are not tax deductible, but you do not pay taxes on the earnings you take out, as long as you use them for tuition or other qualified expenses — including those for elementary or secondary education at independent and religious schools, as well as college tuition.”

The End of Diversity . . .

Posted on 16:11 by shohan bella

Here is an excellent look into a powerful way of looking at diversity as Martin Davidson looks at it. I love the way he dissects managing diversity and leveraging difference.

Get to know Dr. Davidson in this brief clip.
